Standing up to China
There’s no other way to say it. China is the biggest threat to America's security.
Emboldened by Joe Biden's weakness, they are buying up our farmland, spying on our kids, and stealing our jobs.
The president continues to be out of step with reality. Here's what we know:
China continues to try to buy our farmland to spy on our military bases. They continue to try to steal our intellectual property so they can use our technology to compete against American companies for the future leadership of this world, and to keep spying on our kids.
As president of the United States, I would make it my primary objective to identify China as our existential threat. And by doing so, I would stop them from buying our land. I would protect our intellectual property and sever the cords so they cannot spy on our kids. But I'd go further than that. I would lead with a Made in America economic agenda to bring our jobs home from China and other nefarious actors on the planet.
By standing up to China and bringing our jobs home, we will have an industrial revolution where we are able to create millions of high-paying, high-tech manufacturing jobs here in America, using things like my Opportunity Zone legislation that allowed us to see $50 billion invested in the hardest hit economic areas without spending a single federal dollar. $50 billion from the private sector using tax incentives is the type of economy and strategy that we need to beat the competition economically and prepare militarily for the future of the China threat.
We have spent decades getting deeper and deeper in debt to the Chinese Communist Party. Their goal is not just to surpass us. It is to beat us. Proverbs 22:7 says, “the borrower is slave to the lender.”
It goes beyond just finances, though. It’s about our supply chains. It’s about medicines, microchips, and critical minerals. It’s about China buying American farmland, infiltrating our airspace, and tracking our kids. It’s about President Xi siding with Putin and Iran. America can win this competition. But Joe Biden can’t.
The Biden administration simply has not done enough to see the threat from a technology standpoint that China poses to this nation through Huawei.
A coalition was created about five years ago where Western countries came together and said, “Not on my watch will we allow Huawei to be a part of our country.” That was a decision that needed to be made.
We see President Biden asleep at the wheel, frankly, and we continue to see increasing threats from China as it relates to spying on our kids, but also on our adults.
So, what do we do?
We have to take a technological approach to the defense of this country. Cyber attacks and cybersecurity are becoming an actual threat that is being posed against this nation and have not been addressed by this administration. As president of the United States, I would take our cybersecurity as a vital and important issue from day one while I'm on the job.
One way I’d do this? The Know Your App Act. I introduced a way for Americans to know directly where their apps are made. You should be able to make informed decisions about the online services they use in order to protect their data and security.
I would also say that other threats from Russia to Iran, this new axis of evil that is being posed to the American people, is something that, as your president, I would not only address but I would stop.
We can make the greatest American century the next American century, but that will take positive, powerful leadership standing toe to toe with our adversaries and back to back, shoulder to shoulder with our allies.
It will take a commander-in-chief with a backbone to make that happen, and I’m confident that I will be that leader.
